Enterprise Workflow National Project (EWNP) - The On Demand PR approach
On Demand PR was recommended to speak with the Co-ordinator of EWNP, Keith Salmon by the National CRM Programme Board Director, Terry Dailey regarding their needs for an event management and Public relations consultancy to deliver reports and launch the EWNP to the public.
To give you an example of the speed and delivery to which On Demand PR operates, we initially spoke with Keith Salmon on Friday 17th October and took down the brief over the telephone. We met with Keith and Peter Wrigley (Programme Manager) on Wednesday 22nd October and delivered and discussed the strategy and process document. We were invited to meet with the EWNP Board on Monday 10th November and within 10 minutes of deliberation; On Demand PR was the appointed consultancy.
In the first instance it was crucial to develop a Frequently Asked Questions document to ensure the Board representatives and key stakeholders were all agreed on the answers to the 15 questions likely to be raised by the Public. This was written along with the launch Public announcement and approved by the EWNP Board and ODPM within 4 days.
We had less than 3 weeks to deliver our initial task and that was to set up a Suppliers Forum dedicated to all Workflow, Document Management and related products/services for Tuesday 2nd December. We identified 40 suppliers and invited them to attend our meeting held at the Institute of Directors. During this time we also designed and implemented a satellite web site dedicated to the Suppliers for them to register their interest in attending and created a suppliers directory for them to contribute to.
We had 24 suppliers attend the first meeting which was deemed a success, and from a Public perspective, to date, we have had 11 items of editorial coverage confirmed during December to March that includes everything from a government web bulletin reaching 10,000 local authority subscribers to double page spreads in dedicated government publications.
This went onto create the basis of the second Suppliers Forum that was held on the 9th March 2004 in London. We had the Chief Executive from the EWNP local authority transformation project at Sedgemoor District Council to present with 38 suppliers present.
On Demand PR event managed EWNP's dissemination event on 10th May 2004 at the House of Commons. We were challenged with producing a very select audience of local authority Chief Executives, eGov Champions and Heads of IT that had expressed a high level of interest of Enterprise Workflow on their IEG3 Statement. We filled the 96 seats with the highest selective audience that any of the other 10 National Projects had at their dissemination events at that time. The event was deemed by delegates and our customer to be an overwhelming success.
