The Team

Julie Vindis - On Demand PR Since 1993 On Demand PR has created a strong PR, Marketing and Event Management team. This team was led by Julie Vindis who was responsible for the overall ownership of each campaign, and handled the communications strategy. Other members of the On Demand PR team specialise in areas including: writing articles, technology briefs and press releases; telemarketing; market research, event management and website design and implementation.

This team had been together for just over eight years and heavily involved in all of the Government National Projects work and most of the private sector clients On Demand PR delivered, and therefore, like Julie, was able to hit-the-ground-running.
• Julie Vindis – Lead Consultant

• Rina Durban – Administrative Manager
• Susan Jones – Market Research Manager

Julie Vindis – Lead Consultant

Julie Vindis set up On Demand PR & Marketing in 1993 to meet the needs of organisations that were bringing new and innovative ideas to the market place. Over that period of time she has gained key experience in how to present such ideas in the press, and to communities of users. The fact that she has already been awarded contracts and provided successful campaigns for over 30 private sector clients to five of the ODPM’s National Projects, continues to work directly for Southwark Council (part-time since August 2007) and for Communities and Local Government since January 2008, and demonstrates her ability to consistently deliver results.

For each of the National Projects she had to work with tight timescales to present very new ideas to local authorities. For the most recent of these projects she was chosen to handle the Communications Manger role as well as the PR role, because of her demonstrable ability to build relationships with stakeholders and local authorities. This resulted in the FAME National Project creating a community of interested parties numbering more than 800 hundred people from local authorities, key stakeholders, and practitioners, regional and external multi-agency partnerships.

As with all On Demand PR’s projects Julie Vindis remains directly involved from the beginning to the end of the project, but will use other carefully chosen staff to fulfil key functions within each campaign.

David Mackenzie – Technical Consultant

David Mackenzie has been worked with On Demand PR for more than seven years as a technical consultant. Recognised as a technology expert in both the public and private sectors he has worked extensively on the National Projects for On Demand PR, including the CRM National Project, Enterprise Workflow National Project and also with NWEGG. On the FAME National Project, he became lead consultant for the North East region and delivered the Proof of Concept report for the North East at the end of the campaign.

Working in his own right as a Technical Consultant, he has worked with local authorities including South Norfolk District Council, Basildon District Council, and Hampshire County Council advising on the specifications to build and enhance the most effective contact centre solutions.

In addition to providing specific technical consultancy, he is also used by On Demand PR for technical writing and for brochures. He has written many magazine articles discussing the technical details of a number of the National Projects, has represented them by presenting at major conferences, and run many training seminars and workshops with local authorities and external multi-agencies.

His ability to quickly grasp the ideas and issues behind new and innovative technology makes him well placed to communicate those ideas to the wider local authority audience via business and government media.
