CRM Industry Awards & Children in Chrisis

Through many years On Demand PR’s working relationship with Wilson Publications, the publishers of CRM Magazine and Customer Service News asked us if I would be willing to dedicate some free time to providing PR services to the first ever CRM Industry Awards. I worked on all four ceremonies until the publication was sold in 2005.

 

The fourth and last annual CRM Industry Awards were held on Tuesday 27th April 2004 at the Carlton Tower Hotel, Knightsbridge London. The Duchess of York, founder and life president of the charity Children in Crisis presented the Awards at the gala dinner for the UK’s only CRM Industry Awards that recognise and encourage achievement in the field of Customer Relationship Management.

 

On Demand PR has always given its time for free to publicise the CRM Industry Awards and in 2004 I went one step further and accompanied ten people to Trek the Conquerors Route in Mexico from 28th May to 6th June that year.  This involved walking 150 miles over ten days, and climbing mountains to the highest peak of 4,300 metres (13,300 feet). Event Management and PR Conferences / Exhibitions / Gala Award Dinners

 

On Demand PR has a huge volume of experience in providing one-off PR and Event Management projects for conferences, exhibitions and industry award gala dinners for clients.

 

Initially known for specialising solely in the call centre arena since 1993, On Demand PR quickly became the ‘first choice’ agency to arrange these prestigious events and word spread of our success to encourage sponsorship from the major players and ensure attendance of the precise target audience relevant to the event.

From January 2005 to January 2009 On Demand PR was engaged as the Event Manager for the eGovernment National Awards until the business was sold in 2010.

 

During all of the above events On Demand PR offered more than just finding the perfect locations. During each campaign I become their right hand support, and delivered a comprehensive process document which ensured both parties had complete notification as to what will happen and when, on time and to budget.

Call Centre Solutions – PR Management

1997 - In May 1997 Advanstar (organisers of the worldwide Voice shows) held their first Call Centre Solutions conference and exhibition in Amsterdam. During an 8-month period, On Demand PR was responsible for creating and implementing an awareness campaign through UK and European press, targeting European Call Centre managers to attend the event.

 

Telebusiness – Exhibition and Conference

1998 - 1998 - Telebusiness 1998 awarded the PR campaign for the third Telebusiness conference and exhibition at the Wembley Exhibition Centre - 9th/11th June 1998. The show targeted senior management in the telebusiness and call centre market to attend.

 

In addition to the exhibition of products and services, On Demand PR project managed the Gala Awards Dinner, arranged the conference programmes and sourced all of the 50 speakers for Telebusiness 1998, offering three power-packed days of conferences and an Executive Congress conference presenting 15 case studies from corporate businesses.

 

Customer Service Management Conference

1998 - The CSM Group (previously known as Help Desk User Group) held their 6th annual Customer Service Management conference at the Grosvenor House Hotel on 26/27th November 1998. On Demand PR was responsible for gaining media coverage pre-conference in management and customer service related titles and post conference with an interview in The Times with keynote speaker Edward de Bono.

 

Telebusiness – Exhibition and Conference

1999 - On Demand PR was awarded the project management campaign for the 1999 Telebusiness Gala Annual Dinner (over 300 guests) with the new exhibition owners Advanstar Communications.

 

Customer Service & Support – Exhibition and Conference

1999 - Customer Service & Support (VCM Communications) Europe's showcase for applications designed to provide first class customer service and IT support. On Demand PR was responsible for both pre and post press coverage of the show. This event took place at Olympia 2, 27-29th April 1999.

 

Call Centre Solutions – Annual Awards Dinner

2000 - On Demand PR was awarded the event contract for the Advanstar Call Centre Solutions Annual Awards Gala Dinner on 10th May. For the second year the PR contract was awarded for the Customer Service & Support 2000 show at Olympia from 11-13th April.

 

CRM Industry Awards – PR Management

2001 – On Demand PR was asked to contribute its PR skills to the inaugural CRM Industry Annual Awards 2001. The gala dinner was held at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 26th April 2001 and was hosted by Sarah Ferguson, The Duchess of York in aid of the Children in Crisis charity. Over £64,000 was raised in association with this event.

 

CRM Industry Awards – PR Management

2002 - On Demand PR was proud to be invited to handle the PR for the second CRM Industry Awards 2002 that took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on 18th April 2002.

 

Irish Contact Centre Awards – PR Management

2002 – On Demand PR was invited to work on the PR account for The 7th Annual Irish Contact Centre Awards. This Conference, Exhibition and Awards ceremony was held at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin on 14th November 2002.

 

 

 

CRM Industry Awards – PR Management

2003 - On Demand PR represented the third annual CRM Industry Awards which took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on 24th April 2003.

 

CRM Industry Awards – PR Management

2004 - On Demand PR represented the fourth (and final) annual CRM Industry Awards which took place at the Carlton Tower Hotel in Knightsbridge on 27th April 2004.

 

eGovernment National Awards - Event management

From January 2005 to January 2009 the annual eGovernment National Awards were run by www.publictechnology.net In January 2009 the event was held at The Guildhall in the City of London with 550 guests (this had increased from 330 in January 2005). Every year the Prime Minister made the key address via a pre-recorded video message to the guests. Previous Ministerial speakers (in positions at that time) included Jim Murphy MP, Parliamentary Secretary Cabinet Office; and Gillian Merron MP, Cabinet Office Minister for Transformational Government, with John Suffolk, Government Chief Information Officer being the regular presenter and supporter of the event.

 

On 20th January 2009 the key speaker at the awards ceremony was the Minister in charge of Transformational Government, Tom Watson MP.
